From my mother and grandmother's vacation in 1953, these pics are all poloroid shots. I was amazed at how clear some of them were, but sad that many had degraded terribly over the years, thanks to being stored in a closet with no AC, in an old fashioned photo album, on black construction paper! some of the pics have grains of the black paper stuck to them, but I managed to save most of them. For the most part, the pics are not cropped, but look as my mom and her mother took them. The few that have been cropped have been done to either remove damaged parts of the pics, or to better see the subjects.
It is truly a treasure to be able to go through and salvage old family photos like these. I have really been enjoying it, and hope to leave a legacy behind for my brother's children to enjoy. celticsong22 on Flickr: Posted a Photo
